Description

  • Support the development and maintenance of the Bank’s Compliance Management System.
  • Manage Solar Servicing’s state licensing program and coordinate state examination responses.
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks in the Solar Servicing business.
  • Advise business leaders on regulatory requirements, emerging risks, and compliance issues.
  • Contribute to compliance monitoring and testing activities using risk-based methodologies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for annual licensing reports, state license maintenance, and examination responses.
  • Oversee remediation of examination findings and action items to timely closure.
  • Partner with business teams on growth initiatives, compliance controls, issue management, governance, and process improvements.
  • Oversee third-party servicers to ensure regulatory compliance, including performance monitoring and remediation.
  • Monitor regulatory and legal developments and assess their impact on the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in servicing and debt collection compliance, licensing, or a related function in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical or regulatory language and translate it into plain language for business practices.
  • Demonstrated application of consumer protection laws and regulations, including TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, FCRA, Red Flags Rule, FACTA, FDCPA, MLA, SCRA, BSA/AML, EFTA, UDAAP, and GLBA.
  • State servicing law knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the year.
  • Ability to learn new laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Professional certification preferred, such as Paralegal, CRCM, CRP, CAMS, CIPP, or CIA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative.
