Description

  • Direct and manage accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger functions.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts and analyze variances across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and publish accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance.
  • Research and resolve complex accounting issues, including technical standards and state-specific regulations.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain reporting for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.
  • Manage payroll administration and reconcile related benefits, 401(k), and tax obligations.
  • Support executive leadership with financial modeling, cash forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and improve financial reporting integrity.
  • Evaluate major expenditures and capital investments and provide recommendations on cost optimization and ROI.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the accounting team.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • CPA license is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
  • Commercial or specialty contractor experience is ideal.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Experience with additional ERP or project management systems is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Arizona tax rules and regulations is required.
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-company accounting environments.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize work with minimal supervision.
  • This is a full-time role.
  • Up to $20/hr.
  • 100% remote.
