Description

  • Manage daily payment tasks and serve as the main contact for country-specific payment processing rules.
  • Own global payment execution to ensure employees and contractors are paid accurately and on time.
  • Investigate and resolve daily payment reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Lead integrations with banking partners and payment providers, including operationalizing new payment methods.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex payment issues and help reduce recurring processing problems.
  • Drive process improvements and automate daily operations workflows.
  • Develop tools, metrics, and dashboards to track payment performance.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Finance, Sales, and other teams.
  • Identify new data sources and payment routing methods to improve global payment efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in global or regional payments, with a focus on operations.
  • Proven experience leading bank integration projects via API or host-to-host connectivity.
  • Experience implementing automated payment files in ISO 20022 XML format.
  • Deep knowledge of banking regulations and payment requirements across multiple countries.
  • Proven ability to own projects from discovery to resolution, set goals, drive results, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to execute quickly and accurately.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex payment issues independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a track record of going above and beyond in execution.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive business relationships.
  • Ability to establish milestones and keep team members aligned.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or large multinational is preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Remote work experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in the UK.
