Description

  • Drive new features end-to-end from implementation through launch and continuous iteration.
  • Write and maintain a comprehensive unit test suite.
  • Help manage deployments and set up CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate in an agile environment to translate business requirements into actionable development work.
  • Write performant, scalable, and testable code using modern tools and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews to uphold clean code and architecture standards.
  • Contribute to engineering design sessions with evidence-based input.
  • Balance speed and quality while focusing on tangible results.
  • Participate in the interview process to help raise the technical bar and bring in new talent.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience building complex software systems delivered to customers.
  • Strong communication skills with at least B2-level English.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with rapid iteration cycles.
  • Proven experience managing feature requests with realistic timelines.
  • Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.
  • Comfortable writing supporting documentation.
  • Professional experience with Python.
  • Experience with Django or FastAPI.
  • Experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or AWS RDS.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services, including ECS, SQS, and SNS.
  • Experience with deployment tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Travis CI, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with Docker and Celery.
  • Preferred experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Preferred experience with Node.js, React, Vue, or Svelte.
