Description

  • Design, develop, and lead core data components for the factory and launch software platform.
  • Build data technology abstractions and APIs for internal systems.
  • Create analytics and reporting architectures.
  • Develop data models, data management capabilities, and related tooling.
  • Build cloud and on-premises applications, services, and APIs.
  • Drive development of a distributed data platform across launch and factory components.
  • Design technologies for data ingress and egress for the launch vehicle and factory tools.
  • Make technical tradeoff decisions and recommend improvements across existing systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help raise team engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with design, materials, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to solve cross-functional problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience implementing code-level patterns that help codebases and teams scale.
  • 1+ years of experience leading data architectures at scale.
  • 4+ years of experience working with data technologies such as InfluxDB, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, Spark, or similar tools.
  • 4+ years of experience with at least one programming language such as C++, Go, Python, C#, or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with containerization and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with AI technologies, including machine learning and related tools or frameworks, is preferred.
  • Ability to create scalable architectures across a range of usage patterns and organizations is preferred.
  • Ability to learn, grow, mentor others, plan organizational roadmaps, and support hiring strategies is preferred.
