Description

  • Implement and steward core platform services including container orchestration, service mesh, ingress, and secrets management at scale.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Security teams to deliver value across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Improve platform reliability through observability, automated remediation, and reduced latency and downtime.
  • Use infrastructure-as-code and configuration management to make systems and operational processes repeatable, auditable, and secure.
  • Optimize cluster utilization, autoscaling, storage, and networking to balance performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Build internal tooling, templates, and golden paths that improve developer experience and reduce time to first deploy.
  • Participate in a sustainable on-call rotation, handle incidents, drive post-mortems, and reduce toil and MTTR.
  • Evolve CI/CD pipelines and environment strategies across dev, stage, and prod to support fast, safe delivery.
  • Contribute to the evolution of infrastructure practices to maximize internal and customer impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure, specifically Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of observability concepts including metrics, logs, traces, and actionable alerts/SLOs.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Some programming experience in at least one modern programming language.
  • Awareness of security fundamentals including IAM, workload identity, network policies, encryption, and secrets management.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with a team-focused mindset.
  • Ability to document clearly and thrive in fast-moving, high-ownership environments.
  • Eligible work permit in the USA or Canada required.
  • Open source contributions are preferred.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform is preferred.
  • Experience with Python, Go, and/or JavaScript (TypeScript) is preferred.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD systems and developer tooling is preferred.
  • Experience in a startup transitioning to high-growth is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $185,000 to $230,000.
