Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale knowledge graph architectures across secure, mission-critical environments.
  • Translate ambiguous government needs into executable graph solutions aligned with mission intent and operational outcomes.
  • Design canonical data models and entity resolution pipelines to integrate distributed, multi-source data.
  • Operationalize graph databases and production graph platforms with attention to auditability, resilience, and security-by-design.
  • Develop link analysis, network discovery, pattern detection, and other graph analytics solutions for intelligence and operational users.
  • Integrate graph analytics with NLP, machine learning, and advanced analytic workflows.
  • Drive performance tuning, query optimization, schema evolution, and scalability improvements for graph systems.
  • Advise senior government stakeholders on roadmap development, scaling strategies, and long-term sustainability.
  • Mentor engineers and analysts in graph modeling, query design, and system architecture.
  • Ensure architectures meet federal security, logging, access control, and ATO-related requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; PhD preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or system architecture.
  • 5+ years of direct experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale knowledge graph or graph database solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Neo4j or equivalent, including schema design, Cypher optimization, and administration.
  • Hands-on experience building large-scale pipelines in Databricks and Spark ecosystems.
  • Experience implementing entity resolution frameworks such as Senzing or similar tools.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Practical experience with graph algorithms such as PageRank, centrality measures, community detection, and pathfinding.
  • Understanding of intelligence or defense analytic workflows, including link analysis, network mapping, or threat detection.
  • Active U.S. Government clearance at Secret or Top Secret level, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Experience operating within classified or controlled environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical complexity clearly to executives.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, high-stakes, mission-critical environments.
  • Preferred: Experience with RDF/OWL standards, Apache Jena, or semantic web technologies.
  • Preferred: Exposure to AI/ML integration with graphs, including GraphRAG, GNNs, or hybrid symbolic/connectionist architectures.
  • Preferred: Certifications in Neo4j, Databricks, or related ecosystems.
  • Preferred: Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy graph models that did not scale.
  • Preferred: Prior experience on large-scale DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
