Description

  • Partner with the U.S. People Ops team to support the contractor-to-employee conversion for the Philippines workforce.
  • Coordinate with the Employer of Record to ensure accurate onboarding, records, and a compliant transition by early 2027.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Manila-based employees throughout onboarding, day-to-day employment, growth, and offboarding.
  • Own local employee experience topics such as benefits, compensation questions, statutory contributions, and policy guidance.
  • Manage employee relations matters including performance concerns, workplace conflict, policy questions, and escalations.
  • Coach managers through difficult conversations and ensure fairness and documentation rigor in employee relations processes.
  • Act as a cultural bridge between NYC leadership and the Philippines team, translating expectations and representing local perspectives.
  • Own day-to-day administration of the EOR platform, including employee records, payroll review, onboarding/offboarding workflows, benefits coordination, and support tickets.
  • Design and run the onboarding experience for newly converted employees in alignment with U.S. standards.
  • Manage offboarding in alignment with global People Ops standards and Philippine labor requirements.
  • Build and maintain performance management frameworks such as goal-setting, reviews, and feedback processes.
  • Coordinate with headquarters legal and Philippines-based counsel on employment and labor matters.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of HR generalist experience with progressive responsibility, ideally including both operational HR and employee relations.
  • Prior experience supporting or working within a U.S.-headquartered company.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations situations, performance conversations, and sensitive HR matters.
  • Working familiarity with Philippine labor law and statutory obligations, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-moving environment with limited day-to-day oversight.
  • Prior experience supporting a U.S.-HQ company with an offshore Philippines team and managing contractor-to-employee or EOR transitions.
  • Tech startup or high-growth company experience is preferred.
  • Experience with an Employer of Record model, PEO, or similar co-employment arrangement is preferred.
  • Exposure to global HR platforms such as Deel, Rippling, or Remote, or modern HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a distributed, multinational workforce with cross-cultural complexity is preferred.
  • Comfort working with AI-enabled HR tools is preferred.
  • Full-time permanent availability.
  • Monday–Friday schedule from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM PHT.
  • Permanent work-from-home location.
