Description

  • Support the financial reporting and technical accounting function for entities under BACEN and IFRS frameworks.
  • Lead technical research and analysis of complex accounting matters under BACEN COSIF, BACEN circulars, and IFRS.
  • Analyze accounting treatments for financial instruments, including classification, measurement, and expected credit loss under IFRS 9 and Res. 4.966.
  • Assess related party transactions and connected lending rules.
  • Evaluate revenue recognition and expense treatment under IFRS 15 and BACEN prudential requirements.
  • Review software capitalization considerations under IAS 16, IAS 38, and BACEN circulars.
  • Monitor changes in BACEN regulations and IFRS pronouncements and assess their impact on financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos for internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulators.
  • Collaborate on prudential financial statements and IFRS consolidated reports to ensure alignment across accounting frameworks.
  • Partner with Operational Accounting, FP&A, Risk, Legal, and Product teams on the accounting impact of new transactions, regulatory changes, and business initiatives.
  • Serve as an internal reference for BACEN GAAP and IFRS accounting treatment, maintaining governance, consistency, and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Active CRC (Brazilian CPA) is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of COSIF, BACEN resolutions and circulars, and IFRS, especially IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IAS 1 / IFRS 18 transition context.
  • Experience preparing technical accounting memos.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution, Big 4 audit firm, or regulatory-focused accounting role is highly desirable.
  • Experience with consolidation of financial statements and financial disclosures under IFRS and/or local regulatory standards such as BACEN GAAP.
  • Ability to write clear, well-structured technical documents and explain complex accounting conclusions.
  • Strong attention to detail, project ownership, and ability to manage concurrent deadlines and deliverables.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English; Spanish is a plus.
  • AI-oriented mindset with the ability to use AI tools to improve tasks, automation, and reporting.
  • Broad, real-world experience in developer experience practices in regulated environments, preferably fintech, is mentioned as an industry-specific preference.
