Description

  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using software development best practices.
  • Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable systems for financial services.
  • Investigate alternative approaches and technologies and present recommendations for architectural review.
  • Propose technical implementations that address scaling and performance challenges.
  • Use GitHub for version control, resolve code conflicts, and support CI automation processes.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement of the platform through technical review and modernization efforts.

Requirements

  • Academic background in computer science, engineering, or software development.
  • Hands-on experience in engineering roles.
  • Experience working with medium-complexity domains or systems.
  • Strong understanding of web application fundamentals, including security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and object-oriented programming.
  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design.
  • Microservice architecture experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn rapidly across diverse web technologies.
  • Proven ability to design complex distributed applications that are high-performance, scalable, and reliable.
  • Development experience with Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming.
  • Experience profiling and performance tuning Java applications, plus production monitoring tools.
  • Practical experience applying AI frameworks in development projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive mindset with ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to mentor peers and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Familiarity with financial domains such as lending, payments, credit cards, open finance, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, or investment services is desirable.
  • Understanding of workflows and business drivers across financial domains is highly valued.
  • Experience delivering solutions involving loan origination, payment processing, open finance, fraud detection, or financial reporting/reconciliation is a strong asset.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements such as KYC/AML, PCI-DSS, and GDPR into resilient systems.
