Description

  • Define and steer medium- and long-term platform architecture across AWS environments for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Codify platform standards into reference implementations, Golden Paths, and reusable scaffolding for internal teams.
  • Engineer safe delivery workflows using GitHub Actions, GitOps practices, and progressive rollout mechanisms.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes operations, including node provisioning and autoscaling strategies.
  • Make observability the default by defining SLIs/SLOs, error-budget policies, and incident follow-up automation.
  • Improve cloud and service security, including secrets management, authentication patterns, and policy-as-code enforcement.
  • Design and operate event-driven architectures, including Kafka topology, retention, partitioning, and schema evolution.
  • Promote AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality, refactoring, operations, and technical documentation.
  • Drive cost-aware platform decisions focused on efficiency, scalability, and responsible cloud usage.
  • Implement technical governance and controls for platform management, security, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive hands-on software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript or Python.
  • Strong background in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices architecture for high-performance, highly available systems.
  • Deep knowledge of Bazel build systems.
  • Deep practical experience with AWS services including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, networking, and security.
  • Advanced experience with Terraform, including modules and policy enforcement, and with Pulumi multi-language stacks.
  • Deep Kubernetes expertise, including EKS, Karpenter, Istio, ArgoCD/Flux, and GitOps workflows.
  • Mastery of reliability engineering patterns and SLO-driven operations, including circuit breakers, retries, back-pressure, and stress testing.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS security controls, OPA/Rego for admission controllers, and container security practices such as image signing and ECR scanning.
  • Proficiency with OpenTelemetry and integrations with New Relic, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Proven experience building Internal Developer Portals and ephemeral environments.
  • Expertise in GitHub Actions, Flagger, and feature-flag governance.
  • Experience working in critical workloads and regulated environments, ideally fintech.
  • Ability to translate PCI-DSS and LGPD compliance requirements into automated technical patterns.
