Description

  • Define and execute the cloud and platform strategy aligned with business, regulatory, and cost-efficiency goals.
  • Lead teams across Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, SRE, DevSecOps, and FinOps.
  • Modernize infrastructure and delivery pipelines to create a unified, automated, and compliant cloud environment.
  • Establish the long-term architecture for cloud services, platform frameworks, and developer enablement tools.
  • Own the AWS multi-account organization, including governance, security, compliance, and cost policy enforcement.
  • Design and evolve multi-region, multi-environment architectures to improve reliability, latency, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Build and scale the Internal Developer Platform with self-service capabilities for provisioning, deployments, and observability.
  • Drive adoption of GitOps, progressive delivery, automated rollback, and health-gated CI/CD practices.
  • Establish and run a FinOps program with chargeback/showback, cost guardrails, and spend optimization.
  • Mentor senior engineering leaders and create governance rhythms such as architecture councils, platform guilds, and reliability reviews.

Requirements

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Software Development.
  • Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, including multi-account management, VPC design, EKS, ECS, Lambda, and networking topologies.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Pulumi, plus GitOps automation at scale.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals, orchestration, and cost/performance optimization.
  • Experience implementing SRE and reliability practices such as SLOs, error budgets, chaos testing, and incident remediation.
  • Mastery of observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, and New Relic with trace/metric/log correlation.
  • Proficiency in security and compliance engineering, including IAM, KMS, secrets management, policy enforcement, and regulatory controls like PCI, LGPD, and GDPR.
  • Experience defining and governing API and event-driven architectures, including OpenAPI/AsyncAPI and Kafka.
  • Deep knowledge of progressive delivery, service mesh technologies, and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Strong FinOps background, including right-sizing, egress optimization, reserved instance and savings plan strategy, and service-level cost attribution.
  • Experience integrating AI-assisted workflows such as GitHub Copilot Enterprise and LLM-based tools into development and CI pipelines.
  • Extensive hands-on software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and working knowledge of Python and asynchronous programming.
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, relational databases, web and mobile architectures, DDD, microservices, networking, and distributed systems design.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing architectural roadmaps aligned with business and developer-experience goals.
  • Advanced English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience leading cloud and platform engineering organizations in complex, regulated, high-growth environments, preferably fintech or digital banking.
