Description

  • Provide safety oversight and support across an assigned geographic region.
  • Visit project sites and field crews to maintain a visible safety presence.
  • Conduct audits of personnel, equipment, job-site conditions, and work practices.
  • Review safe work plans, identify hazards, and support risk mitigation.
  • Develop and deliver safety training for employees and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT-PHMSA, Railroad, MSHA, and other applicable requirements.
  • Lead incident and injury investigations, follow-up, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with operational leaders and project teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
  • Complete JHAs, Safe Work Permits, and other required safety documentation.
  • Identify safety trends and improvement opportunities, and communicate findings to leadership.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant safety experience, preferably in construction, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or field-based operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting safety across multiple active job sites.
  • Experience with safety audits, employee training, incident investigations, hazard identification, or field safety programs.
  • Working knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • OSHA 30, CHST, or another relevant safety credential preferred; willingness to pursue additional credentials required.
  • Utilities or electric infrastructure experience, including transmission, distribution, or generation, highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build credibility at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently across a geographically dispersed region.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to operate a company vehicle, and ability to navigate active industrial sites.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 90%, including frequent overnight travel.
