Description

  • Develop presentations, manuscripts, video scripts, executive summaries, handouts, moderator guides, and related medical communication materials.
  • Conduct literature searches and analyze clinical data to create accurate, current, evidence-based content.
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors, Creative, Client Services, designers, and project teams on scientific strategy and storytelling.
  • Build relationships with clients and key opinion leaders to develop content and execute medical communication strategies.
  • Partner with presentation and graphic designers on illustrations, animations, and other creative applications of scientific information.
  • Perform quality checks and support Veeva submissions for medical, legal, and regulatory review.
  • Communicate with Account and Project Managers and participate in internal and client meetings.
  • Train and mentor junior medical writers under Medical Director guidance.
  • Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, corporate, and applicable U.S. requirements.
  • Work occasional nonstandard hours and travel overnight or on weekends up to 20% as project needs require.

Requirements

  • Advanced healthcare-related degree required, such as MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH, or MS.
  • 2–3 years of medical education experience in a pharmaceutical company or medical communications agency required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in medical education, scientific research, or clinical practice/insights preferred.
  • Experience developing promotional or medical communications for healthcare professionals preferred.
  • Experience with medical, legal, and regulatory reviews preferred.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills in medical science.
  • Intermediate ability to assess the relevance, validity, and credibility of published medical literature.
  • Intermediate understanding of modern digital marketing and artificial intelligence applications.
  • Strong collaboration, presentation, interpersonal, problem-solving, quality-management, and client-service skills.
  • Ability to work Eastern U.S. hours; role may be hybrid or remote within the U.S., depending on business needs.
