Description

  • Create, maintain, and enhance user guides, templates, style sheets, and automated review processes using RoboHelp 2022.
  • Author, edit, and maintain technical reference manuals, online documentation, training materials, and software project documentation.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, audit documentation, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Support business analysis activities by contributing to business requirements, release notes, UAT plans, and post-deployment documentation.
  • Govern the IT System Documentation Library, including publication, version control, document finalization, and template administration.
  • Collaborate with developers, IT staff, project teams, users, and subject matter experts throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Prioritize assignments, resolve documentation challenges, recommend process improvements, and deliver quality documentation on schedule.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional technical writing or related writing experience; 4+ years preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, or 4 additional years of technical writing experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency with RoboHelp, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office templates and maintaining IT documentation.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and processes.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of programming, operating systems, or networking concepts is desirable.
  • Must reside in the United States; occasional travel may be required.
  • Satisfactory pre-employment background check required; credit checks may apply where legally permitted and relevant.
