Description

  • Optimize machine learning model serving latency and throughput.
  • Move models from research through containerization to stable production deployment.
  • Profile and tune code for efficient GPU utilization.
  • Design and operate distributed serving systems across multiple GPUs and nodes.
  • Apply model acceleration techniques including quantization, batching, and caching.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience comparable to a senior software or inference engineer at a large technology company.
  • Proven experience developing server-side or learning-based software and deploying it for live users.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning inference optimization frameworks.
  • Proficiency in systems programming and GPU optimization using C++, CUDA, Rust, or optimized Python.
  • Familiarity with model acceleration and compression methods, such as weight compression, knowledge distillation, or token prediction.
  • Experience with distributed systems, container orchestration, and high-concurrency workloads.
  • Must be based in an eligible remote-work country: Canada or the UK.
  • Public technical contributions, such as open-source inference-engine work or detailed technical writing (preferred).
  • History of internal progression and promotions with an employer (preferred).
  • Doctorate in a quantitative field or equivalent hands-on systems experience; study at a leading university is an advantage.
