Description

  • Partner with hiring managers to recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates for open roles.
  • Conduct or coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
  • Develop and deliver a new hire orientation experience that supports employee success from day one.
  • Administer HR programs across compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, recognition, and employee development.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with required training, certifications, and professional licensure requirements.
  • Handle employee, applicant, and manager inquiries and escalate sensitive or complex issues appropriately.
  • Support employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and update policies as needed.
  • Stay current on HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in talent management and employment law.
  • May assist with scheduling, assignments, workflow, and performance evaluation support for HR staff and managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a professional environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
  • Thorough working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/talent management systems; ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred.
  • Active pursuit of certification is a plus.
