Description

  • Build and lead the Women’s Leather Outerwear sourcing function from scratch.
  • Identify, scout, pitch, and onboard new vendor partners, primarily in North East regions.
  • Establish clear test-period criteria for new vendors and assess their ability to scale.
  • Manage and strengthen existing supplier relationships while expanding a redundant supplier base.
  • Oversee supplier and style-level capacity planning to support company growth.
  • Source materials quickly to improve product cost, quality, and speed for scale.
  • Negotiate with suppliers across the supply chain, including T1, T2, and T3 mill/vendor partners as needed.
  • Build open-costing models and validated cost structures to support vendor negotiations.
  • Act as a partner ambassador by deepening commercial relationships and driving continuous improvement.
  • Identify bottlenecks, improve development timelines, and raise launch performance through product excellence.
  • Develop and refine sourcing processes and SOPs to improve speed and continuous improvement across teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sourcing and merchandising experience in women’s apparel, specifically women’s outerwear.
  • Experience working with high-end national brands in the United States and Europe.
  • Strong knowledge of category manufacturing and women’s leather outerwear.
  • Ability to build vendor relationships from scratch and operate independently as a self-starter.
  • Experience in supply chain management or operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Experience with open costing breakdowns and building cost templates for negotiation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams, functions, and nationalities.
  • Resilience under pressure and willingness to challenge the status quo.
