Description

  • Master protocols, applications, and troubleshooting for all QSI products.
  • Understand proteomic applications and how QSI products can meet market needs.
  • Participate in and lead technical discussions during pre-sales customer meetings.
  • Conduct seminars and present technical datasets to customers.
  • Identify customer needs and develop solutions using QSI instruments, reagents, kits, and applications.
  • Draft experimental plans for customer product evaluations and set expectations for evaluation outcomes.
  • Prepare and present demo reports to customers.
  • Manage onsite and remote onboarding of QSI products and software.
  • Conduct onsite training on QSI instruments, software, and reagent workflows.
  • Drive instrument utilization through collaboration with sales and customer project planning.
  • Manage technical support cases through CRM, including email, phone, and site visits.
  • Troubleshoot instrument, software, kit, and application issues and escalate repairs or problems as needed.
  • Participate in tradeshows, support customer advocacy, and contribute ideas for application notes and technical collateral.
  • Promote product positioning and messaging in customer interactions.
  • Champion customer-requested applications to Market Development and Product Management for consideration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biology, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or PhD preferred, or 5+ years of lab experience in lieu of an advanced degree.
  • Prior experience in a similar technical support role, or a combination of lab experience with a technical support component.
  • Experience in proteomics, protein biology, or mass spectrometry.
  • Theoretical or technical background in cell biology, biochemistry, or NGS.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative.
  • Remote position based in San Francisco, CA, San Diego, CA, or surrounding areas.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time (about 3 weeks per month).

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $140,000 to $170,000 annually.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary bonus program.
