Description

  • Own the fixed asset lifecycle, including recording acquisitions and disposals and coordinating with cross-functional teams for accurate reporting.
  • Manage the insurance accounting manual and maintain documentation for insurance-related transactions.
  • Prepare and post month-end close journal entries to ensure the general ledger is accurate.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation by providing supporting data and schedules.
  • Perform account and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to protect balance sheet integrity.
  • Reconcile fixed asset and insurance accounts between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the Finance team to improve accounting workflows.
  • Work across diverse functional teams to support a smooth finance operating model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar field, or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical support role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and numerical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and financial principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive learner who can work well under guidance and as a collaborative team member.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
  • Prior use of accounting software is preferred.
  • Experience reconciling bank accounts and financial records is preferred.
  • Experience with insurance accounting is preferred.
