Description

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and domain leads on complex requirements and technical decisions.
  • Lead high-ambiguity product discovery across multiple workstreams using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Manage scope, trade-offs, priorities, goals, and the feature backlog across Agile Scrum and Kanban delivery.
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy options and make recommendations that optimize delivery and cost.
  • Coordinate delivery efforts, timelines, and deliverables across product owners, project managers, program managers, and scrum masters.
  • Drive technical design discussions and communicate requirements while considering performance, scalability, and security.
  • Set day-to-day priorities to keep execution aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Use data and evidence to make decisions and build a culture of measurement and data collection.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and roadmap to stakeholders.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to prototype, test, learn, and deliver architecturally sound products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 6-8 years of product management experience building B2C and B2B insurance products and services for a large carrier or insurtech.
  • Proven experience working directly with engineering, design, and QA teams.
  • Experience navigating a multi-stakeholder environment, building consensus, and making timely decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using AI to build repeatable workflows that synthesize research, strategy, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of software development in at least two of the following areas: Cloud Based Infrastructure, API/Backend Services, and Data Platform/Data Science.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort operating in a distributed work environment.
  • Experience with a wide range of personal lines and commercial lines insurance products and configurations, preferred.
  • Experience with data science modeling and machine learning practices, preferred.
