Description

  • Define the target architecture and scalable operating model for the Renovate solution.
  • Architect self-hosted Renovate, distributed workers, job scheduling, caching, and rate-limit handling.
  • Develop automated repository discovery and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain version-controlled Renovate configurations, shared presets, update strategies, and auto-merge policies.
  • Ensure security and compliance through secure credential management and least-privilege access.
  • Establish prioritization for security- and CVE-related dependency updates.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and operational KPIs.
  • Plan and manage the rollout from pilot through rollout waves to full coverage.
  • Own project planning, roadmap, prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and rollout management.
  • Review technical implementation, coach engineers, support documentation and training, and resolve critical technical issues.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Architect, or Senior DevOps Engineer.
  • Strong experience with GitLab, preferably in large-scale environments.
  • Practical experience with Renovate or a comparable automated dependency management solution.
  • Strong DevOps and CI/CD background.
  • Experience designing scalable, distributed, and highly automated solutions.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure and platform architecture.
  • Experience with APIs, authentication, credential management, and security best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability.
  • Proven project and stakeholder management skills, including technical leadership.
  • Fluent English and a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Enterprise-level Renovate experience (preferred).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale repository rollouts (preferred).
