Description

  • Analyze and define project requirements for customer data analytics engagements.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of reporting suite migrations to Looker Enterprise.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery against project plans and deadlines.
  • Assess customer business requirements and recommend the best approach using available data and tools.
  • Investigate the data needed to support desired business outcomes and analytics solutions.
  • Document processes related to customer data requirements clearly and thoroughly.
  • Provide training and pair-programming sessions to upskill clients in Looker and related GCP services.
  • Develop internal tooling and improve processes for the data analytics team and broader business.
  • Investigate and evaluate new and available technologies and software for use in client work.

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience in a data analytics role, ideally in a customer-facing consultancy environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Looker Enterprise, including instance management, LookML development, user access setup, and visualisation building.
  • Experience with Looker Studio; Looker Studio Pro experience is desirable.
  • Strong data processing experience and knowledge of common database technologies such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Experience developing visualisations and reports using BI tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Comprehensive problem-solving skills with the ability to apply creative and innovative thinking.
  • Proven ability to identify and help resolve data quality and integrity issues.
  • Confidence presenting findings in a structured and actionable way to audiences with varying levels of understanding.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to meet regular and ad hoc deadlines under project plans.
