Description

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on technical challenges and Google Cloud best practices.
  • Lead cloud technology initiatives using deep technical expertise and business insight.
  • Design highly available, cloud-native platforms tailored to customer needs.
  • Advise on modern software architecture approaches including 12-factor applications, microservices, and serverless patterns.
  • Develop internal tooling for the Platform Team to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with customers and the Pre-sales Team to translate requirements into technical designs and guide solution delivery.
  • Support Go-To-Market strategy development aligned with customer needs and business goals.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to platform engineers.
  • Represent Qodea in external engagements with Google and the wider tech community.
  • Stay current on technology developments to help keep the business ahead of the curve.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration and management.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
  • Comfort with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Linux operating systems such as Debian, Ubuntu, or CentOS, including systems administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar automation pipelines.
  • Solid knowledge of modern internet protocols and API patterns, including GRPC, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
  • Proven experience in a cloud-focused delivery role, such as DevOps or Software Development.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy or professional services role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, highly available systems, and application/infrastructure automation.
  • Comfortable writing production-quality software in at least one general-purpose language such as Python, Go, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks such as HashiCorp Vault, IAM best practices, or container security tools is preferred.
