Description

  • Ensure reporting data is fresh, accurate, traceable, and reliable for gym owners, internal teams, and Board reporting.
  • Design and operate the end-to-end data platform, including ingestion, storage, governance, extraction, and access monitoring.
  • Set data freshness and uptime standards, participate in incident response, and resolve root causes of data issues.
  • Unify product, payment, and third-party data to create a complete view of gym and member journeys.
  • Partner with Engineering to establish clean data practices, catch breaking changes before release, and simplify data flows.
  • Implement privacy, security, auditing, and access controls for gym and member data, including AI-agent access.
  • Build processes to fulfill privacy requests while preserving financial reporting and audit requirements.
  • Provide governed, consistent business definitions and data context for AI Assistant, AI Member Intel, and AI reporting.
  • Enable teams to safely self-serve data answers through AI with clear cost and access limits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, data infrastructure, or software engineering, including end-to-end ownership of production infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses at scale, including performance tuning, cost management, RBAC, masking, and schema design.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, with software engineering practices such as testing, CI/CD, code review, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Experience operating an orchestration platform such as Airflow or Dagster in production.
  • Experience with managed ingestion tools such as Hevo or Fivetran and custom pipelines, including CDC, streaming, or event-driven architecture.
  • Experience building data quality checks, alerting, and documented runbooks using tools such as Monte Carlo or Elementary.
  • Daily practical use of AI, including building a relied-on workflow and implementing checks for incorrect outputs.
  • Experience with real-time analytics databases such as ClickHouse and understanding when to use them versus a data warehouse.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, or PCI privacy and governance requirements, including access, auditing, retention, and deletion.
  • Experience collaborating in TypeScript codebases; familiarity with semantic layers, retrieval, AI evaluations, data contracts, CDPs, and identity resolution is preferred.
