Description

  • Assist in building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and integrations under senior-engineer guidance.
  • Write and maintain scripts that automate routine data-processing and engineering tasks.
  • Configure and maintain data workflows across development, test, and production environments.
  • Monitor data workflows and platform services, reporting processing, reliability, and operational issues.
  • Perform unit, integration, and data-validation testing; document test results, issues, and known defects.
  • Investigate data-processing errors and software defects, assist with resolution, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Follow procedures for data storage, backup, recovery, system access, configuration, and security.
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, IT personnel, and project teams on customer deliverables.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to data workflows, repetitive processes, and system reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or Software Engineering, or an associate degree plus 2 years of experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, software development, database management, or data analytics; internships, academic projects, and practical training may qualify.
  • Foundational knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
  • Basic understanding of databases, data structures, data processing, and software development practices.
  • Familiarity with data validation, software testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Understanding of operating systems, software configuration, and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to follow technical guidance, document work clearly, collaborate with a team, and learn new technologies.
  • Must reside in the continental United States and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must pass a background check and may need to obtain a Public Trust designation or security clearance.
  • Experience in government contracting, healthcare/CMS, health, or another regulated environment is preferred.
  • Exposure to ETL/ELT, APIs, data integration, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, Git, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and data security practices is preferred.
