Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Develop Apache Airflow DAGs to orchestrate workflow schedules, dependencies, retries, and failure handling.
  • Develop Snowflake schemas, tables, views, data transformations, and loading processes.
  • Optimize SQL queries, Snowflake workloads, warehouse utilization, and costs.
  • Integrate data from databases, APIs, and files while maintaining data consistency.
  • Monitor pipelines, investigate workflow failures, configure alerts, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop Python automation and reusable pipeline components to reduce manual effort.
  • Implement automated data-quality checks and resolve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity issues.
  • Maintain documentation for data lineage, transformations, workflow dependencies, recovery, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on requirements, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and data-infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or an associate degree plus 2 years of experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data integration, ETL/ELT development, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Apache Airflow for data engineering or pipeline development.
  • Strong SQL proficiency, including query development, data transformation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting Apache Airflow data pipelines.
  • Experience designing and maintaining Snowflake data structures, transformations, and workflows.
  • Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language for automation and data processing.
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, data integration patterns, data quality practices, and Git.
  • Must live in the continental United States and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must pass a background check and, depending on agency requirements, obtain a Public Trust designation or security clearance.
