Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making criteria.
  • Translate technology offerings into measurable customer business outcomes.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to shape customer strategy and support revenue growth.
  • Lead technical sales activities, including evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
  • Deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospective accounts.
  • Capture customer requirements and turn business needs into innovative solution proposals.
  • Write and contribute to responses for RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents.
  • Support interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing to create support materials such as whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Stay current on competition, market trends, and solution positioning.
  • Represent and promote the Everpure platform, including Portworx, to customers.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
  • Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures.
  • Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Experience leading or contributing significantly to responses for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Deep knowledge of storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
  • Knowledge of VMware, LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
  • BS in CS, EE, or another technical degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Remote work is expected in compliance with company policy, despite an in-office operating environment.
