Description

  • Support strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders and stakeholders.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover challenges related to endpoint security, passwordless adoption, and identity threat vectors.
  • Deliver customized demonstrations and architectural sessions focused on Okta Device Access and Identity Threat Protection capabilities.
  • Design and execute outcome-focused proof of concepts that demonstrate Okta’s value in securing access from any device.
  • Develop customer-centric points of view and executive-level messaging that connect Okta’s solutions to business outcomes.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Okta identity product lines, underlying technologies, and protocols.
  • Create and maintain reusable demo environments, diagrams, documentation, and proof-of-concept templates for presales use.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta and Auth0.
  • Collaborate with the Global Office of the Field CTO and product teams to share field insights and customer trends.
  • Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, technical sessions, and represent Okta as a thought leader in identity and security.

Requirements

  • Expert-level understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), Group Policy Objects, Kerberos, and OIDC/SAML protocols.
  • Experience managing multi-IdP environments such as Okta, Ping Identity, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with hybrid identity and synchronization between on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of FIDO2/WebAuthn, Passkeys, and passwordless authentication strategies such as Okta FastPass.
  • Strong understanding of Desktop MFA, device registration, and device posture signals from MDM/UEM tools such as Jamf, Intune, and Workspace ONE.
  • Experience with EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike to enforce risk-based access policies.
  • Familiarity with certificate-based authentication and PKI.
  • Strong knowledge of identity attack vectors, including phishing, token theft, MFA bypass, and lateral movement.
  • Experience with UEBA and interpreting threat signals to detect suspicious activity.
  • Experience integrating identity platforms with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Sentinel and SOAR tools for automated response.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience contributing to technical events.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
  • This is a remote position.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Okta Threat Protection features such as suspicious activity reporting and risk-based authentication.
  • Preferred: Experience with other ITDR vendors or device access solutions.
  • Preferred: Certified Identity Professional (CIDPRO), CISSP, CCSP, or CISM.
  • Preferred: Scripting or automation experience with Python or PowerShell for security integrations.
