Description

  • Work directly with customers to plan research projects based on their requirements, timelines, and business goals.
  • Design and execute qualitative research studies, including moderated and unmoderated methods such as diary studies, focus groups, IDIs, and longitudinal panel studies.
  • Ensure research projects are run with sound methodology, accurate analysis, and strong execution.
  • Create research deliverables such as toplines, scorecards, executive summaries, final reports, and slide decks.
  • Present research findings and support customers throughout the planning, execution, and delivery process, including presenting to Director- and VP-level stakeholders.
  • Analyze participant videos, transcripts, surveys, and other study data to develop findings and recommendations.
  • Mentor and coach analysts on the UX Research team.
  • Coordinate closely with Panel and Research Operations team members to keep projects on track and ensure data quality.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to improve internal processes by sharing insights from the research you lead.
  • Provide feedback to Design and Engineering teams on how to improve internal tools and platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a qualitative research role within a detail-oriented research operations environment.
  • Expertise in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-faceted research projects.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end research lifecycle, including UX research methods, approaches, and common analyses.
  • Proven ability to maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • High attention to detail and ability to recognize patterns and anomalies in qualitative and/or quantitative data.
  • Comfort presenting your own research and research prepared by others to senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership, transparency, self-initiation, and detail-oriented work habits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Comfort using emerging technologies, different software systems, and Google Docs or Google Sheets.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Experience working with researchers and operations personnel in a rapid-response, often ambiguous environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, research methods, human computer interaction, sociology, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in an agency or consulting environment conducting research on behalf of customers preferred.
  • Experience working at or with early- to mid-stage startups preferred.
  • Experience working at or with FAANG or top tech companies preferred.
