Description

  • Improve system quality by identifying issues, recognizing common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures.
  • Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases while reviewing peer code changes.
  • Liaise with colleagues to implement technical designs.
  • Investigate and adopt new technologies where relevant.
  • Provide written knowledge transfer materials.
  • Support the development of software and systems that enable clinical operations and healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience solving technical challenges across back-end and front-end systems.
  • Strong command of back-end technologies, primarily Python and GraphQL, with experience in Flask and/or FastAPI.
  • Strong command of front-end technologies, primarily React, TypeScript, and Redux.
  • Experience with other stacks such as Java and/or NodeJS, AngularJS, VueJS, MobX, or Django is a strong bonus.
  • Strong experience with databases such as SQL and/or NoSQL, primarily Postgres and/or DynamoDB.
  • Experience with medical imaging and healthcare technologies, such as PACS, OHIF, DICOM, FDA, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, Electronic Medical Record, Healthlake Imaging, or medical imaging, is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as CircleCI, Jenkins, or TravisCI is a bonus, along with cloud experience such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase.

  • Base salary of $180,000 to $210,000 CAD per year, depending on experience and geographic location.
