Description

  • Maintain, improve, and extend an AI platform already running in production.
  • Handle backend development, data engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure work across the platform.
  • Translate business and product requirements into technical decisions independently.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders and consumer teams to support platform needs.
  • Establish and maintain engineering best practices for the platform.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues as the first line of defense.
  • Operate autonomously and serve as the primary technical owner of the solution.
  • Support a live system with real scale and complexity in a regulated environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience with production systems.
  • Generalist mindset with comfort across backend development, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong production Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS, Bedrock, and RDS, or similar services.
  • Experience with analytical data pipelines using SQL and Spark, and data processing at scale.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development workflows such as Claude Code or similar tools, beyond autocomplete.
  • Experience maintaining and scaling systems in production, not just building POCs.
  • Autonomous working style with the ability to self-direct without a project manager.
  • US-based location required due to project compliance and data security constraints.
  • Experience with AI/ML systems or LLM-based applications is preferred.
  • Container-based deployments and Lambda optimization experience is preferred.
  • DevOps or MLOps background is preferred.
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience is preferred.
