Description

  • Build and contribute to RAG system components with increasing autonomy.
  • Write production code across AI, backend services, and data pipelines.
  • Develop tests and evaluation harnesses for AI features.
  • Integrate AI components into backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Deploy containerized systems to AWS using CI/CD practices.
  • Support model evaluation and investigate system failure modes.
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and client handover materials.
  • Participate in technical discussions and architectural decisions.
  • Gradually take ownership of components and technical decisions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software or ML engineering experience, including exposure to production systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript and ability to work in unfamiliar codebases.
  • Hands-on experience building or contributing to RAG systems.
  • Practical experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or OpenAI.
  • Practical AWS experience with services such as Lambda, S3, or ECS.
  • Experience with containers and CI/CD in real-world projects.
  • Experience contributing to evaluation or testing cycles for non-deterministic systems.
  • Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, model failure modes, monitoring, and LLM cost-latency trade-offs.
  • B2+ English and strong communication, problem-solving, self-direction, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: experience with Claude Code, AWS or Claude certifications, customer-facing delivery, financial services, insurance, healthcare, NLP, recommendation engines, Go, Rust, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, MCP, or agent interoperability.
