Description

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Manage VMware environments such as vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, and vSAN to maintain performance and resource efficiency.
  • Support hybrid cloud deployments by integrating on-premises VMware workloads with AWS.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code for repeatable environment provisioning, preferably using Terraform.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux and Windows servers across virtualized and cloud environments.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus to track system health and performance.
  • Ensure backup, patching, disaster recovery, security, and compliance controls are in place across infrastructure components.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and perform root cause analysis.
  • Document incident responses, infrastructure changes, architecture, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams on infrastructure assessments, capacity planning, cost management, and cloud governance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, virtualization, or infrastructure operations within an MSP or enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Solid experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and vMotion.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring, patching, and backup automation tools.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, VPN, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments spanning AWS and VMware.
  • Nice-to-have experience with Terraform, Git, Docker, or Kubernetes for automation and containerization.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a 24/7 managed services environment.
