Description

  • Design, install, and maintain Development, Testing, and Production cloud environments for customer-facing applications.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based systems architecture following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., CloudFormation/Terraform).
  • Create and use monitoring tools for applications and services in the cloud to track system health, trends, and anomalies.
  • Participate in on-call escalation to troubleshoot and resolve customer-facing cloud environment issues.
  • Automate code builds and deployments using DevOps/Agile and CI/CD practices (Jenkins and similar tooling).
  • Install, configure, and support enterprise Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database systems and related infrastructure.
  • Establish and manage operational and security policies to mitigate risk, ensure compliance, and remediate vulnerabilities across environments.
  • Manage application, middleware, and infrastructure updates across all environments to maintain security and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision scalable, reliable application software in the cloud and mentor/train IT Operations personnel on provisioning and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations/engineering for cloud or data-centric web-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing cloud-based environments, primarily AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Chef.
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation tooling (Jenkins) and familiarity with DevOps/Agile practices.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise database systems.
  • Experience with container and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes preferred).
  • Proficiency with SQL and Unix/Linux shell scripting and practical cross-platform scripting/automation experience.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), middleware and B2B gateway products, and monitoring/observability tools.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional) or equivalent experience; strong analytical, communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
