Description

  • Lead enterprise data governance engagements for healthcare organizations from strategy through execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Facilitate governance councils, steering committees, executive workshops, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Design governance operating models, decision rights, stewardship structures, and accountability frameworks.
  • Conduct data governance maturity assessments and develop executive roadmaps and recommendations.
  • Develop governance policies, standards, processes, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across business and technical teams.
  • Embed governance into organizational processes, technology implementations, analytics delivery, and AI initiatives.
  • Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to expand governance capabilities.
  • Mentor consultants and contribute to the growth of the data governance practice.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Analytics, Information Management, Healthcare Operations, or related disciplines.
  • Experience leading enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Experience consulting with healthcare organizations, including providers, payers, or life sciences.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance and information management practices, including frameworks, data quality, metadata management, MDM, stewardship, data lineage, data catalogs, business glossaries, reference data management, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience facilitating executive-level governance councils, steering committees, and strategic workshops.
  • Experience establishing enterprise governance operating models and organizational adoption strategies.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and organizational change management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or Atlan (preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Cloud (preferred).
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and standards including Epic, FHIR, HL7, and enterprise healthcare data domains (preferred).
  • Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, data modernization, cloud migrations, or analytics transformations (preferred).
  • Experience with HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements (preferred).
  • DAMA CDMP certification or other relevant governance certifications (preferred).
