Description

  • Lead market research to identify current and upcoming clinical trials aligned with company capabilities and growth priorities.
  • Identify, pursue, and expand relationships with target sponsors, CROs, and other key stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to inform business development strategy.
  • Drive territory and account planning efforts in coordination with the VP of Commercial.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners during early and mid-stage deal engagement.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and other external events.
  • Advance opportunities through feasibility, proposal, budget, and contracting stages.
  • Partner with feasibility, operations, and proposal teams to deliver timely and high-quality proposals.
  • Manage sponsor expectations and timelines throughout the deal process and escalate issues when needed.
  • Track sales activity, communications, and opportunity status in CRM systems and maintain accurate pipeline data.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or sales support roles.
  • 3+ years of experience in clinical research or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce to track pipeline and activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and progress deals through a sales lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including sponsor-facing and CRO-facing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of clinical trial conduct and patient recruitment dynamics (preferred).
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical or CRO purchasing and contracting processes (preferred).
  • Experience using CRM data to generate pipeline reports and commercial insights (preferred).
  • Proven track record of contributing to pipeline growth or deal progression in a commercial setting (preferred).
