Description

  • Onboard tutors and prepare them for their first sessions, including curriculum navigation, assessment use, and Learning Plan review.
  • Coach tutors on special education strategies for autism, ADHD, ELL, behavior supports, and IEP/504 accommodations.
  • Build and maintain SPED resources such as toolkits, sample lessons, planning templates, and progress-monitoring tools.
  • Lead monthly professional development sessions, webinars, and ongoing coaching cycles with observation, feedback, and reflection.
  • Create and manage edtech support materials, including one-pagers, short how-to videos, and a virtual resource hub.
  • Provide FAQ, troubleshooting, and streamlined check-ins with tutors, families, and schools.
  • Review lesson plans for standards alignment and IEP alignment, and model demo lessons using Gradual Release methods.
  • Use assessment data to set goals with tutors and track student progress toward mastery.
  • Champion instructional approaches such as UDL, RTI/MTSS, multisensory instruction, and culturally responsive practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • 3+ years of K–12 special education experience as a teacher, case manager, or interventionist.
  • Proven experience coaching others and facilitating professional development.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in UDL, RTI/MTSS, SEL, accommodations/modifications, and behavior supports.
  • Data-literate with experience using assessments to track progress and mastery.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom, and the listed edtech tools (Jamboard, Flip, Blooket, Boom Cards, ReadWorks).
  • State special education certification and/or a Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting ELL, OASIS, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices preferred.
  • Ability to complete a recorded self-interview to apply for the role.
