Description

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in multiple locations accurately, compliantly, and on time.
  • Use ADP to enter and manage payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, overtime, and deductions.
  • Maintain current and accurate employee payroll records.
  • Review payroll activity for compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and wage garnishments.
  • Prepare, file, and submit payroll taxes and related federal, state, and local filings, including year-end forms.
  • Generate payroll reports, track hours, overtime, and PTO usage, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll audits and maintain documentation for internal and external reviews.
  • Support employees with questions and issues related to pay, deductions, and payroll processing.
  • Monitor payroll regulation changes and best practices to keep the company compliant.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance to align payroll and benefits administration.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of payroll experience, with expertise running payroll in ADP.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processing in the U.S. and California, including federal and state tax regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in payroll work.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to respond professionally to employee inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems as needed.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger accounting is preferred.
  • CPP or related payroll certification is a plus.
  • Clear and excellent English communication skills are required.
  • Willingness to complete a recorded self-interview as part of the application process.
