Description

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in multiple locations accurately and on time.
  • Use ADP payroll software to enter and manage payroll data for new hires, terminations, salary changes, overtime, and deductions.
  • Maintain current and accurate employee payroll records.
  • Review payroll activity for compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and wage garnishments.
  • Prepare and file payroll taxes, related payments, and year-end forms.
  • Generate payroll reports, track hours, overtime, and PTO usage, and resolve pay discrepancies.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Respond to employee questions and issues related to payroll, deductions, and pay.
  • Monitor payroll regulation changes and best practices to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance to support payroll and benefits integration.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of payroll experience.
  • Experience running payroll using ADP.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processing in the U.S. and California, including federal and state tax regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll-related tasks.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for responding professionally to employee inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems as needed.
  • Willingness to collaborate with others to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger accounting is preferred.
  • CPP certification or related payroll credentials is a plus.
