Description

  • Leverage scripting and automation tools to streamline processes and reduce time spent on issues.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions that reduce failure rates and minimize engineer involvement in ticket resolution.
  • Create internal tools that help engineers solve issues faster and more efficiently.
  • Implement self-service solutions for clients to address common issues independently.
  • Develop pro formas for automation initiatives to estimate time savings, cost savings, effort, and ROI.
  • Maintain and secure a scripting repository.
  • Create reports to track progress on automation initiatives.
  • Write custom reports for the NOC and Service Desk using Power BI and BrightGauge.
  • Automate Windows, third-party, and Mac patching using tools such as Kaseya VSA, Addigy, and Intune.
  • Manage and update the RMM platform, Kaseya, and the BrightGauge analytics platform.
  • Provide automated patch status and endpoint compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems and processes.
  • Maintain documentation for automation scripts, tools, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members on automation solutions and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing and implementing automation solutions using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of automation principles and tools.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving automation-related issues.
  • Experience creating and maintaining performance baselines on servers and network devices.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles.
  • Intermediate experience with virtualization technologies and storage hardware.
  • Basic experience with Azure and AWS cloud environments.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Azure compute, network, and storage.
  • Some scripting knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are a plus.
