Description

  • Manage a portfolio of residential and commercial accounts, including high-value and multi-location accounts, to recover outstanding balances.
  • Negotiate payment commitments while maintaining professional and positive customer relationships.
  • De-escalate difficult conversations using active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
  • Use Salesforce, Zuora, and internal systems to investigate, track, and resolve collections issues.
  • Document collections activity accurately to support compliance and process visibility.
  • Explain community solar benefits and savings to customers to improve understanding, retention, and engagement.
  • Perform skip tracing to locate hard-to-reach customers using investigative tools and strategies.
  • Handle outbound calls, inbound inquiries, emails, and Salesforce cases to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with teammates and other departments to share best practices and manage collection cases appropriately.
  • Meet or exceed departmental KPIs, including dollars collected and call volume, while adapting to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in collections, ideally in the solar industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of billing and collections procedures.
  • Experience with skip tracing tools and investigative techniques.
  • Strong customer service and retention mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel, typing, and general computer navigation.
  • Salesforce or a similar CRM system experience required.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, growing environment.
  • Prior customer service or call center experience preferred.
  • Accounts receivable knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Zuora or a similar billing system preferred.
