Description

  • Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable production systems.
  • Define and monitor service-level objectives and indicators (SLOs/SLIs).
  • Collaborate with software engineers on system design and reliability improvements.
  • Develop automation for infrastructure and operational workflows to reduce manual work and MTTR.
  • Participate in and lead incident response, blameless post-incident reviews, and follow-up improvements.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance and cost to support capacity planning.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities and mitigate threats using security best practices.
  • Engage stakeholders, share operational learnings, and mentor others.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience applying SRE practices in production environments.
  • Strong AWS, Kubernetes, networking, DNS, and Infrastructure as Code expertise.
  • Experience with Pulumi preferred; Terraform experience is a plus.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, with Python proficiency and knowledge of testing, debugging, and packaging.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-structured code.
  • Experience leading incident response and root-cause analyses (RCAs).
  • Experience in regulated industries, sensitive-data environments, or secure networking setups, including Cloudflare exposure (preferred).
  • Understanding of microservices and distributed systems, including RabbitMQ, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis (preferred).
  • Experience with Datadog monitoring and performance optimization, database troubleshooting, PySpark, or MLOps practices (preferred).
