Description

  • Lead new and existing central laboratory projects across assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management, logistics, and kitting.
  • Own designated protocols from conception through close-out, including planning, execution, risk management, communication, scope control, and cost control.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead for assigned projects and coordinate internal teams, clients, collaborators, and vendors.
  • Create, manage, and report on project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasting, and resource plans.
  • Monitor operational delivery against contracted timelines, scope, and budget, and escalate out-of-scope work or unexpected variances.
  • Provide daily coordination and supervision of scheduled activities, including delegation of responsibilities as needed.
  • Communicate with clients and collaborators regarding data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and other project matters.
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings, and produce reports and correspondence for stakeholders.
  • Assess, mitigate, and resolve technical, operational, project, and business risks and issues.
  • Review, update, and maintain project documentation, process documents, metrics, and reporting materials to approvable status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering.
  • Experience as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications.
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, research and reporting skills, and sound judgment/discretion.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10-25%.
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed to meet business demands.
