Description

  • Lead new and existing central laboratory projects from conception through close-out, ensuring planning, execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder management, scope control, and cost control.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead for assigned projects and monitor operational delivery against contracted timelines and budgets.
  • Create, manage, and report on project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new and ongoing studies as the primary client-facing partner.
  • Manage daily coordination and supervision of scheduled activities, including delegation of responsibilities to support contracted work.
  • Communicate with clients, collaborators, vendors, and internal teams regarding data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and related project matters.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and correspondence for internal and external meetings.
  • Track project metrics, evaluate contract and project budgets, and report variances and unexpected issues.
  • Identify out-of-scope work, operational issues, and project risks, then escalate and support resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation and process documents, and mentor junior Project Managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering.
  • Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to make internal colleagues and clients feel understood.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS 365 applications.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills, with exceptional emotional intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion.
  • Fluency in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend it.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10-25%.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet business demands.
