Description

  • Supervise monthly project accounting efforts and lead status meetings with project managers.
  • Review, reconcile, and set up contracts, projects, clients, and billable rates in accounting systems.
  • Track project budgets, funds, revenues, costs, and intercompany transactions across client portfolios.
  • Prepare and present project financials, revenue forecasts, and variance explanations to project leads and stakeholders.
  • Manage client invoicing, unbilled revenue aging, past-due follow-up, and monthly client accruals.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and review coding for expense reports, invoices, and credit card bookings.
  • Support annual budget preparation, audit documentation, and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, SG&A, and other finance teams on allocations, scope changes, and reporting inputs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across finance workflows.
  • Mentor, manage, and advise junior staff on client finance practices and non-routine transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business.
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Agency or professional services experience is a plus.
  • Month-end close experience is preferred.
  • Revenue recognition experience is preferred.
  • Project accounting experience is preferred.
  • Client services or client-facing experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with ethics and integrity.
