Description

  • Lead site contract team members and ensure consistent contracting, budget development, and reporting standards.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and global implementation of investigator/site budget templates.
  • Support review, drafting, and negotiation of agreements and financial documents, including confidentiality agreements, master agreements, clinical study agreements, budgets, ancillary agreements, and amendments.
  • Oversee execution of agreements and investigator/site budgets at the portfolio level in line with study contract and financial plans.
  • Work with Study Start Up, Clinical Operations, Legal, HR, Finance, Grants Management, and other stakeholders to support timely contract and budget delivery.
  • Resolve and escalate complex contracting, financial, and legal issues with relevant stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Allocate resources, forecast workload, and plan capacity for new business and ongoing studies.
  • Report, analyze, and manage contract- and budget-related metrics, including productivity, cycle times, and cost performance.
  • Maintain the integrity of contract, budget, and reporting data in systems and databases, including archival requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve budget development, reporting efficiency, and grant alignment.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a scientific, healthcare, finance, or business discipline.
  • Experience in Site Contracts and investigator/site budget functions within a Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
  • Experience leading or supporting global country budget template development, including standardizing cost categories and fair market value considerations.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including knowledge of budgets, cost drivers, forecasting, and the financial implications of contracting and grant decisions.
  • Experience working with clinical trial contracts and budgets, as well as financial oversight and governance.
  • Experience managing people remotely.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements and investigator/site budgets, and managing the contract and financial lifecycle at project and portfolio level (preferred).
  • Experience developing and implementing site contracting and budget strategies, including exposure to sponsors and grant-funded studies (preferred).
  • Experience working across centralized and regional global site contracting and budget models (preferred).
  • Familiarity with unit-level financial reporting and portfolio oversight (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant systems, including investigator/site budget development tools, contract databases, and reporting platforms.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
