Description

  • Implement features and services, including larger projects that involve multiple classes and database schema updates.
  • Write, test, and maintain high-quality code across one or more codebases.
  • Review code carefully and provide thoughtful feedback on complex changes.
  • Document medium-sized technical designs and help lead technical design reviews with guidance from senior technical leads.
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives to align on priorities and business context.
  • Respond to code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality and reliability.
  • Support AI- and data-powered components in production while following responsible data and privacy guidelines.
  • Own assigned tasks or features and communicate progress and blockers clearly.
  • Help onboard new team members and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Must be currently based in Mexico and legally authorized to work in Mexico.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
  • Professional experience in back-end or full-stack development.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Ruby or Python.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching, and database optimization.
  • Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and component-based frameworks such as React.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and user experience fundamentals.
  • Experience consuming APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating closely with teammates.
