Description

Own month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment runs.
Prepare and review revenue recognition and deferred revenue entries.
Maintain balance sheet schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounts.
Support trust-account segregation, payment-loss reporting, chargeback tracking, and foreign exchange exposure monitoring.
Design and strengthen internal controls, including segregation of duties and safeguarding of payment funds.
Support audits, SR&ED submissions, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and ASPE/IFRS compliance.
Support North American payroll accounting, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
Optimize accounting systems and partner with Business Intelligence and Engineering to automate reconciliations, reporting, and close processes.
Collaborate with FP&A, Risk, Operations, auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and payment processors.

Requirements

3+ years of accounting experience.
CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA completion.
Strong technical accounting, financial accounting, and audit-support knowledge.
Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS; technology or payments SaaS experience preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation, and scalable finance operations.
Experience or interest in AI, workflow automation, or modern finance technology preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, timely reporting and controlled operations.
