Description

  • Own and manage a full sales cycle from outbound prospecting and discovery through demo, proposal, and close.
  • Conduct outbound outreach to identify and engage new coaching prospects across a defined territory.
  • Schedule and deliver product demonstrations tailored to coaches’ and athletic programs’ needs.
  • Sell consultatively by understanding each prospect’s challenges and positioning PlayOn’s coaching analytics as a solution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with coaches, athletic directors, and school administrators.
  • Partner with internal sales, customer experience, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline and accurate forecasting in Salesforce, tracking activity, opportunities, and outcomes.
  • Develop deep expertise in PlayOn’s coaching analytics platform, product updates, and the competitive landscape.
  • Provide structured market feedback to product and marketing teams based on conversations with coaches.
  • Represent PlayOn at coaching events, conferences, and tradeshows to build brand presence and generate pipeline.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a competitive, goal-driven environment.
  • Background in athletics, such as experience as a coach, athlete, or sales professional serving the sports market, strongly preferred.
  • Genuine passion for helping coaches and athletes grow and succeed.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to listen, ask insightful questions, and tailor the approach to each prospect.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with experience engaging coaches, athletic directors, or school administrators.
  • Comfort managing a high-volume pipeline with multiple priorities and a sense of urgency.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, and a data-driven approach to territory and pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools, sports technology platforms, or edtech solutions is a plus.
